The Secretary of Culture of Camocim developed a week of celebrations to commemorate the 128 years from the County’s emancipation.

The event included art expositions, activities for the elderly and children and shows of renowned bands, having its best moment on September 30 with the traditional Canoes Regatta.

48 boats were driven by the strength and skill of the brave Camocim canoe sailors, who paddled all along the circuit established by the Fishermen Colony of Camocim.

The day was a great party for the population of Camocim, and the most important communication media of the State of Ceara were there as a witness.
